Spring North is a regional charity working across Lancashire and South Cumbria to improve health and well-being and reduce health inequalities in some of our most deprived communities. We focus our efforts where they’re needed most in places where people face barriers to good health, unable to access services, and improve opportunities to thrive.
We believe that meaningful change happens when people come together. That’s why we work closely with our local member charities, grassroots groups, volunteers and our public sector partners. Not just to deliver services, but to strengthen systems, networks and relationships that support community-led change. Our work is built on trust, local insight and long-standing partnerships. Many of the organisations we support and work alongside are deeply embedded and bring a clear understanding of what’s needed in their communities. We’re here to support andhelp partners do more of what works by building capacity, developing new innovative approaches, upskilling the workforce, and ensuring their voices are heard in the decisions that affect them with the aim of achieving long lasting impactful outcomes and change.
We’re involved in a range of programmes and projects, all designed to address the wider causes of poor health and wellbeing. This includes early intervention for mental health, targeted support for children and young people, local responses to preventable health conditions, and creating opportunities for people to get involved through volunteering. Each project is different, but they all share a common thread they are shaped with, and for, the people they’re co-designed to support.
At the heart of Spring North is a belief that we are stronger together. We bring people around the table who don’t always get the chance to collaborate. We connect organisations that may not have worked in partnership together before and support ideas that reflect the reality of people’s lives. We don’t just respond to gaps, we help identify and build what’s missing.
From practical delivery to strategic thinking, from one-to-one support to large-scale partnerships, our role is flexible but always focused on reducing health inequalities and helping communities thrive.
