Spring North Opens Second Round of Cancer Awareness Small Grant Scheme

Spring North, working in partnership with the Lancashire & South Cumbria Cancer Alliance, has launched the second round of its Cancer Awareness Small Grant Scheme, aimed at improving cancer outcomes across the region.

Community organisations, charities, and local groups can apply for grants of up to £5,000 to deliver projects that raise awareness of cancer symptoms, promote the importance of early diagnosis, and encourage uptake of national screening programmes. The scheme also focuses on tackling persistent health inequalities, ensuring that underserved or at-risk communities receive the support and information they need.

Funded projects will run for 6–10 months, giving organisations the flexibility to develop meaningful, locally tailored initiatives that can make a real difference to early cancer detection and community wellbeing.

For further information or support with applications, contact jade.bond@springnorth.org.uk.
