Neu Way Support – Delivery Hubs

Project completed in partnership with:

As a parent or carer, you know your child better than anyone. If you’ve noticed changes in how they communicate, learn, interact or experience the world, it’s natural to have questions. You may be wondering what those differences mean, where to seek advice or how to find the right support.

Neu Way Support is a service that recognises that every family’s journey is unique. For many, the path to understanding their child’s needs can feel overwhelming, with long waiting times, a lot of information to navigate and uncertainty about what to do next. That’s why Neu Way Support was created.

Commissioned by the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) and led by our team at Spring North in partnership with trusted delivery partners, Neu Way Support offers early advice, guidance and practical support for children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs and for those who care for them.

You don’t need a diagnosis to access the service. Whether you’re at the beginning of your journey, awaiting an assessment, have recently received a diagnosis, or simply need someone to talk things through with, we’re here to help.

Our aim is to ensure every family can access trusted advice, practical support and local connections at the earliest opportunity, helping you feel informed, supported and confident about the next steps.

What happens when you contact us?

Taking the first step can often feel like the hardest one, but we’re here to make it as simple and supportive as possible.

Once you get in touch, you’ll be connected with your local Neu Way Support team and introduced to a dedicated Co-ordinator. They’ll take the time to listen, understand your family’s circumstances, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have. There are no expectations or judgement, just a supportive conversation focused on understanding what matters most to you and your child.

Together, you’ll discuss your child’s strengths, the challenges you’re experiencing and the practical support that could make the biggest difference. Whether you’re looking for advice while waiting for an assessment, trying to understand your child’s needs or simply want reassurance about what support is available, we’ll work with you to identify the next steps that feel right for your family.

Following your conversation, you’ll receive a personalised summary of everything discussed, along with tailored resources, practical strategies and information on local services and support available in your community. Rather than leaving you to search for answers yourself, we’ll help connect you with trusted organisations, activities and opportunities that best meet your family’s needs.

Where additional support would be beneficial, we’ll also introduce you to workshops, peer support groups and other early intervention opportunities delivered by our specialist community partners. Because our partners are rooted in their local communities, you’ll benefit from organisations that understand your area and have experience supporting neurodiverse children, young people and families.

From your very first conversation, we will ensure you feel listened to, understood and empowered with the knowledge, confidence, and local support to help your child thrive.

Who can access the service?

Neu Way Support is available to children, young people and families across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The service is open to families at any stage of their journey. Whether you’ve recently noticed differences in your child’s development, are awaiting an assessment, have received a diagnosis, or simply want to better understand your child’s needs, we’re here to support you.

Because our service is based on need rather than diagnosis, you do not need a formal diagnosis to access Neu Way Support. We believe every family should be able to access advice, guidance and practical support when they need it, not just after receiving a diagnosis.
