Training Opportunities
We provide a variety of online and in-person training courses for the VCFSE sector and our members.
Our members have the benefit of either being commissioned in the delivery of training, where their expertise is paramount to sharing specialist skills and knowledge across the sector – whilst also supporting an income stream for them – or in receiving the training at no cost to their organisation.
Open & Available Training
We continue to invest in quality training, as a benefit to all of our members’ volunteers and teams on an annual basis. Training courses are usually the first area to face cuts when funds are low within charitable organisations, but we know they are vital to improving and developing an organisation, sustaining a motivated, positive workforce, and equipping delivery teams with the right tools to maximise their impact.
First Aid for Mental Health – Accredited
This 1-Day course covers the content of the Level 1 course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.
Breakaway & Conflict Resolution Training
Breakaway Skills are Non-Restrictive physical skills which will enable delegates to practice techniques to escape from an aggressive person who has physically grabbed or taken hold of them.
Basics of AI for Bid Writing and Fundraising
Learn the basics of using AI to transform your bid writing, whether it’s knowing where to start, speeding up the process, or improving the content.
Member Exclusive Training
Our members have the opportunity to undertake additional training courses and access extra resources, as well as the chance to request specific training for their organisation employees and volunteers.
If you have any training needs you feel would be beneficial for us to source on your behalf, or similarly have a training course you feel you could offer to the wider sector. Please contact Jade.
