C&FA Covid and Flu Awareness
Promoting COVID and flu vaccinations in communities where awareness may be limited.
The Blackburn with Darwen Neighbourhood Youth Offer (NYO) aims to maximise opportunities for local youth through collaboration with local providers, ensuring that resources are effectively matched to community needs. Utilising established evidence sources, NYO will deliver at least eight weekly youth activity sessions for both junior and senior groups across North, East, and West areas, free of charge and open to all.
These sessions will focus on quality leisure and informal education, promoting positive relationships, inclusivity, and a non-judgmental approach to youth work. The program aims to provide a safe and affordable environment that supports the personal, social, and educational development of children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities, encouraging them to explore new experiences, learn, and have fun. Additionally, NYO seeks to empower young people by involving them in decision-making, leadership, and community engagement activities, fostering a sense of citizenship and social responsibility.
The service targets ages 8-12 and 13-19 (up to 25 for SEND), with age-specific sessions based on identified needs. The Provider will enhance the core service with a range of funded holiday activities during Easter, summer, and Christmas, offering both specialist and free provisions to meet diverse community needs.
