Impact Team​

The team that help support our Members, coordinate our Project Delivery, and offer Business Services to VCSFE organisations across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Angela Allen

Chief Executive Officer
Angela has been with the organisation since its inception in 2010 – she along with other colleagues in the VCSFE sector were responsible for establishing the organisation in response to the decreasing funding opportunities and the subsequent increase in competition for these – recognising the need for better collaboration and partnership working.

Angela oversees the direction of Spring North in collaboration with it's trustees, ensuring the organisation's day to day activities are in line with it's wider goals.

Alysia Brooks

Head of Operations & Finance
Alysia currently manages the projects team and ensures contracting performance, delivery, quality assurance, communications and financial operations across the organisation fulfil all of its contract commitments.

Outside of direct contracts, Alysia is a key member of the team forming partnership links, supporting consortia members with their contract readiness, and upskilling of their teams. Within the team, she is always on hand with practical advice around various core business functions.

Martin Hartley-Smith

Chief Operations Officer
Martin has over 20 years of experience in winning bids and generating income for non-profit organisations.

Alongside bid writing, Martin manages Spring North's creative team, and chairs Blackburn with Darwen's newly established Youth Foundation - a cross-sector partnership creating a community of member and partner organisations working together to support children and young people.

Paul Bramwell

IT & Data Systems Manager
Paul has worked in the IT industry for over 15 years. Creating and managing IT and data systems in both the Education, and the Health sector, Paul prides himself on accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of his work, and with his ‘can-do’ attitude, is great at problem solving and overcoming challenges.

He is also a professional photographer and videographer; skills that are valuable for the Consortium and our partners.

Charlotte Riley

Projects Officer
Charlotte has worked for the Consortium since 2018, originally supporting on the finance arm of the org, and more recently getting her teeth into the project activity side of the Charity where she is often carrying out pieces of research, data inputting or pulling out Impact reporting for our commissioners.

Charlotte supports the content design for a newly commissioned website, and supporting with all aspects of our Holiday Activities and Food fund contracts.

Leo Noctor

Projects Officer
Leo joined the organisation in November 2020, and is key to providing our upskilling offer to our membership. As well as facilitating a wide range of training courses to both members and our community volunteers, he is a key personnel in conducting project skills audit, and meeting the gaps to ensure all delivery is quality assured at every level.

Leo has varied employment experience, having been a police officer for many years before retraining as a teacher in 2015.

Jason Thompson

Projects Manager
Jason supports the day to day operational activities at Spring North as Projects Manager. He has a background in working with Third Sector organisations leading on Employability and Health & Wellbeing projects to deliver sustainable, positive change within hard to reach communities.

Jason has led diverse teams over a number of years and enjoys coaching and mentoring colleagues to develop their skillset. He has worked predominantly in Burnley and Pendle and more recently in Blackburn with Darwen.

Connor Sutton

Marketing & Communications
Connor joined Spring North in 2022 to lead Marketing and Communications for both the consortium and its projects. Connor has Marketing experience in the Social Care, Technology, Telecommunications, and most recently the Education sector.

In his role at Spring North, Connor ensures our projects have maximum impact in their targeted communities, and works to improve our members’ experience while expanding the reach of Spring North across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Jade Bond

Projects Officer
Jade joined Spring North as a Project Officer in 2023. She has years of experience working with young and vulnerable people in schools and their communities; through 1:1’s and group sessions.

Jade is currently studying for a MSc in Public Health with an interest in tackling health inequalities in young and vulnerable people and championing Early Intervention services.

Katie McEvoy

Finance & Member Support Officer
Katie supports the financial and digital services of the consortium. She has a wealth of experience in the welfare to work sector, previously working and leading on various Employability programmes across Lancashire.

Katie has a passion for wellbeing and a keen eye for detail and is looking forward to building on her finance and claims experience.
