Multiply Programme

Project completed in partnership with:

Multiply is an ambitious numeracy program across Blackburn with Darwen. The mission is to empower individuals of all ages by enhancing their functional numeracy skills. Over the past three years, Multiply has reached adults from all parts of the UK. Levelling Up is at the heart of Multiply—with the aim of a significant increase in the number of people successfully completing high-quality skills training in every region of the United Kingdom by 2030.

But Multiply isn’t just about numbers; it’s about practicality. We’re here to help individuals understand and use maths in their daily lives. Whether it’s managing household finances, assisting children with homework, or deciphering media facts, we aim to make math relevant and accessible. The tailored solutions include free personal tutoring, digital training, and adaptable courses, ensuring flexibility based on specific needs, circumstances, sectors, and industries.

The impact of improved numeracy skills is far-reaching. It translates into better employment prospects, higher wages, and enhanced overall well-being. A Level 2 math qualification opens doors to further training and skilled jobs in our economy. Businesses, both small and large, benefit from employees with strong numeracy skills—boosting productivity, profits, and retention.

Multiply encourages local investment, urging people to use math confidently in their daily lives. Formal qualifications become stepping stones to new opportunities.
